Coach Salton is an energetic coach who is focused on discipline, doing the little things correctly, and playing fundamental basketball. He brings many years of experience to Watchung Hills Basketball Camp, along with an extensive background in exercise science and fitness. He has received numerous coaching awards, is a two-time collegiate All-American, and a Franklin & Marshall College Hall of Fame inductee. Coach Salton, a 1999 WHRHS graduate, strongly believes that teaching and developing the youth is vital to the future of the program.
Traditional Full Day - This camp is designed for all ages and skill levels from beginner to advanced. The week will consist of daily drills, contests, and games. Grades 2-10, 9am-3pm.
Elite Week - This camp is for campers that are more advanced and looking to gain a competitive edge. Designed for the camper who played travel/AAU/HS (girls) basketball. The week is organized similar to a high school practice where campers will work on drills and offensive skills throughout the two hour session. Grades 4-9 (boys), 4-12 (girls), 9am-11am, 12pm-2pm.
Rec Week - This is camp is an extension of HS recreation basketball held in the winter. Campers will play many games (8-10 games) and participate in a daily contest like 3-pt shooting and buzzer beater among others. Grades 9-12, 10am-2pm.
Friday Night Skills - This 75-minute skill development session typically runs in 4-week intervals that focuses primarily on drills and improving as an offensive player. Grades 3-8, 5:15pm-6:30pm.
